DW readers wrote in to tell us about nuclear energy policy where they live.
I was rallying against nuclear power back in the early 1980s in Germany, where I grew up. I am still against it. I now live in the Netherlands, where we only have one active commercial nuclear reactor (and two research reactors). There has been an application to construct a second one, Borssele II, in the province of Zeeland, next to the existing one. Yesterday, 350 people gathered in Middelburg, Zeeland's capital, to rally against these plans. I hope they will be heard.
