Media tools on how to strengthen journalism and public trust from a fundamental rights angle
hosted by European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)
This session will present a pilot version of a new diversity toolkit prepared by journalists with the support of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights.
The aim of the toolkit is to raise awareness among editors and reporters about the discrimination suffered by vulnerable minorities of all kinds; the pilot version focuses on migrants and looks at the ethical problems faced by journalists and photographers covering their story.
It is hoped that discussion at this session will help to provide feedback for the development of an online educational platform to be included in the toolkit.
